Iran’s ‘A Hero’ joins lineup of London Film Festival

Iranian feature ‘A Hero’ is to be screened at the BFI London Film Festival in the UK.

Iranian feature ‘A Hero’ has made its way to the BFI London Film Festival (LFF) in the UK.

Iranian feature ‘A Hero’, by internationally acclaimed Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, will be screened at the 65th edition of the BFI London Film Festival next month.

The film is about Rahim, a divorced man who has been imprisoned due to an unpaid debt. During a two-day leave, Rahim tries to prove that he is a good person.

The movie is starring Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, and Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaee.

Earlier this month, ‘A Hero’ was screened at the main program of the 48th Telluride Film Festival in the US.

Farhadi’s films ‘A Separation’ (2011) and ‘The Salesman’ (2016) won two Oscars for best foreign language film.

‘A Hero’ is among 159 feature films selected to be screened at this year’s BFI London Film Festival. The screenings will take place in theatres across London and the UK.

The 65th edition of the BFI London Film Festival will take place on October 6-17.
